For more than a year now the web/TV show Toco Toco has been publishing brief videos to its YouTube channel featuring notable creatives discussing their work and lives as they show off some of their favorite places in Japan.
It's a neat series, and it's especially notable for game developers because it feature multiple Japanese game designers -- everyone from Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro (D4) to Grasshopper Manufacture chief Goichi "Suda51" Suda.
Each episode is brief, in Japanese with English subtitles, and worth watching for insight into how these creators work.
In the most recent episode (embedded above), for example, SCE Japan's Keiichirō Toyama (Silent Hill, Siren) takes the Toco Toco crew through a few of his favorite places and winds up spending some time at his office talking about how his concept for Gravity Rush was inspired by his love of Franco-Belgian comic art, especially "The Incal" as illustrated by Jean "Mœbius" Giraud.
