The Assembly developer nDreams has secured an additional £2.7 million (~$3.5 million) in its second round of funding, following on the heels of an earlier, £2 million (~$2.5 million) investment round the VR-minded developer held in November 2016.
Repeat investor Mercia Technologies led the round with a contribution of £2 million (~$2.5 million), bringing the grand total Mercia has invested in nDreams to £7.1 million (~$9.2 million). The remaining £700k (~$900k) raised this round came from a series of private investors.
According to nDreams, the funds come just as the ink dries on a deal the developer struck to produce content for VR arcades. Additionally, the recent investment aims to support the five VR titles the studio currently has in development as well as facilitate the hiring of a CFO and COO in the near future.
