Educators can now get their hands on a free Unity license thanks to the middleware company's newly launched Unity License Grant Program.
The initiative offers free Unity Education Edition licenses to qualifying academic institutions and educational programs to help teachers provide detailed in-class instructions and demonstrations.
In Unity's view, qualified institutions include government accredited public or private universities, colleges, and vocational training centers that award government approved qualifications.
Accredited public or private elementary and secondary schools, publicly established research laboratories, teaching hospitals also qualify for the License Grant Program.
"Unity Education licenses are specifically designed to make it easy to deploy and manage licenses in a multi-seat, classroom environment," reads the License Grant webpage. "[They] can be used for learning, teaching, training, and research and development activities."
Interested parties can kick start their application process right now, and can even download the Unity Educator Toolkit to get help building a curriculum.
