Newsbrief: A new report from Nikkei today notes that Sony sold more video game hardware than Nintendo last fiscal year -- the first time this has happened since 2005. Sony sold 18.7 million systems across PS3, PS4, PS Vita, PSP and PS Vita TV. Nintendo, meanwhile, sold 16.31 million units. In comparison, Microsoft sold 11.6 million units. The shift in power is down to the launch of the PlayStation 4, coupled with poor Nintendo Wii U sales, and a decrease in Nintendo 3DS hardware sales year-over-year.
