YouTube pulled data from 25 different countries to find out which video games were popular across multiple regions, and which games were uniquely popular only in specific countries.

For game developers, this data can help build awareness to how well different types of games are recieved in certain regions of the world.

The master list tracks which games ranked in the top 25 for video viewership per country in 2016. The data presented in the images below offers a closer look at which games are given more online attention in each country.

Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V were the only two games to rank in the top 25 for all countries examined. Pokemon Go is the third most popular title globally and falls in the top 25 for game videos watched in every country but Russia. According to a YouTube Trends post, Minecraft is especially popular and is ranked at #1 in 23 of the 25 countries examined.

Interestingly enough, a second slice of data posted by YouTube shows which video games are uniquely popular in only country or region. For example, Madden NFL 16 has overwhelming popularity in the United States, but doesn’t see much enthusiasm in the rest of the world.
