Canadian mobile studio Roadhouse Interactive, the dev behind Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast, has reportedly closed its doors.

The news hasn't been confirmed by Roadhouse itself, but a Linkedin update from company founder and CEO, James Hursthouse, explains the 140-strong studio "closed in September 2016" -- the month of his departure.

As pointed out by PocketGamer.biz, fellow Vancouver-based studio, A Thinking Ape, also posted a tweet from its offices, where it was hosting a "hiring party" for the Roadhouse team.

Haig Sakouyan, head of product at local developer BlueBat Games, then praised A Thinking Ape for hosting the event following "the Roadhouse Interactive collapse."

We've reached out to Roadhouse for comment.

Update: A representative from Nodding Frod Interactive, the publisher of Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast has reached out to clarify that Roadhouse Interactive's closure does not mean the game is cancelled, and that its live operations have been moved in-house to Nodding Frog HQ in the UK.
