Newsbrief: Heads up, game makers: Humble Bundle has updated its Humble Widget game-selling tool with a smattering of new features, chief among them the option to offer a demo version of your game that's playable in a browser.
This sort of developer outreach seems like a natural follow-up to Humble Bundle's partnership with Mozilla last October, when it offered a pay-what-you-want bundle of eight indie games ported to be playable in a browser using the asm.js subset of JavaScript.
At the time a company representative told Gamasutra that Humble Bundle was approaching the browser as "a new platform that we are planning on putting our weight behind" due to its reach and accessibility.
That seems to be holding true as the company has retained the service of an in-house asm.js game porting specialist and this week launched a Humble Widget developer page aimed at game makers interested in using the tool to sell their work.
