Newsbrief: Payday 2 game director David Goldfarb has announced he is leaving Swedish developer Overkill Software to start his own indie studio in Stockholm. "I felt like I had done everything else," Goldfarb told Polygon, who reported the story early this morning. "Payday 2 was a big success, the team did great. But for me I was like 'what am I doing here?'" Goldfarb told Polygon he leaves on good terms with the folks at Overkill, and that he already has a team of four developers working with him on his (as-yet unnamed) new venture. Prior to joining Overkill in 2012, Goldfarb spent years at EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) working on titles like Mirror's Edge, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3.
Making the move to do something new. More on this as it develops. Thanks for all the support! #HereWeGo
