As well as letting us take a peek at its fluctuating profit margins, Nintendo's latest half-year financials provided some insight as to how well the company's hardware and software has been selling of late.
In terms of recent releases, things are looking good, with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, Splatoon, and Super Mario Maker selling 2.02 million, 2.42 million, and 1.88 million copies worldwide since they released earlier this year.
Surprisingly, Super Mario Maker seemed to suffer on home soil, with only 390,000 of those global sales coming out of Japan. Nintendo, however, did sell 1.17 million copies of Happy Home Designer and 860,000 copies of Splatoon in the region.
Nintendo also noted that during the six-month period ended September 30th, global sales of the various Nintendo 3DS hardware iterations reached 2.28 million, bringing the total number of devices sold to 54.34 million.
Sales of the Wii U reached 1.18 million in the same timeframe, meaning 10.73 million systems have now been sold since the console launched in November 2012.
