Monster Hunter Wilds has cemented its status as a record-breaker for Capcom after surpassing 10 million sales in one month.

The latest mainline entry in the long-running franchise launched on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.

It sold 8 million copies across its launch weekend and attracted an estimated 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam alone. Those milestones resulted in Wilds becoming the fastest-selling title in Capcom history.

Its latest achievement is a first-month sales record for the Japanese publisher.

Capcom said Wilds delivered the goods by combining the series' enduring appeal with "new elements" in the form of a new Focus Mode mechanic and seamless movement between settlements and ecosystems.

The company also indicated the introduction of crossplay, which allows players to unite irrespective of platform, contributed to the success of Wilds.

The Monster Hunter series has now surpassed 108 million cumulative sales worldwide.
