Newsbrief: San Francisco-based mobile game studio TinyCo today announced that it has laid off 27 staffers, as the company looks to streamline its games business. The Tap Resort and Tiny Chef studio, which most recently revealed unique revenue sharing plans for other mobile game studios, is looking to reduce its staff numbers in an attempt to consolidate game development at the company. "Laying people off sucks, especially since TinyCo has always been a breeding ground for great friendships," CEO Suleman Ali told TechCrunch in a statement.
