Mobile game and engine company lands piece of Qualcomm investment

Newsbrief: Qualcomm Incorporated has announced it will invest an aggregated $40 million in various Chinese companies, including Chukong Technologies. Chukong Technologies leads development on Cocos2d-x, a fork of the Cocos2d game engine originally developed in Argentina and released as open source software in 2008. It also publishes and develops mobile games. The other companies Qualcomm has invested in include 7Invensun, which is focused on the research and development of eye-tracking technology, inPlug, which works with Smart Home systems, Unisound, dealing with voice recognition, and Walden International, which primarily deals with investing in internet and digital media companies.
