Newsbrief: Mind Candy, the UK studio behind the Moshi Monsters franchise, saw a large-scale swing to losses last year -- and now the company needs another big hit. As reported by GI.biz, while Mind Candy made £10.1 million ($15.8 million) in profit in 2012, it experienced losses of £2.8 million ($4.4 million) last year. Revenues were also down, from £46.9 million ($73.3 million) to £30.6 million ($47.9 million). While Moshi Monsters is still the company's flagship title, the franchise simply isn't providing the profits it once was, and most recently Mind Candy laid off staff. Now the company will be hoping that its recently-released World of Warriors game will do the business.
