Sucker Punch Productions, the Sony studio best known for the Infamous series on PlayStation, has suffered layoffs. Although Sony Computer Entertainment America did not specify how many people have been laid off, the company told IGN that there has been "a reduction in workforce." "Sucker Punch is appreciative of the tremendous work team members contributed to the Infamous and Sly Cooper series, and wishes them the best in their next endeavors," the statement added. Sucker Punch was originally founded in 1997, and worked on the Sly Cooper series until it started the Infamous franchise in 2009. Sony acquired Sucker Punch in 2011, just after the launch of Infamous 2.
