The first batch of games published under Microsoft’s simplified self-publishing initiative have made their debut on the Xbox Store’s digital shelves.

Whispers in the Dark Stereo Aereo Animal Rivals Derelict Fleet Space Cat and Solitaire HD mark the first six games to be released under the Xbox Live Creators Program and, for members of the Xbox One’s preview program, can now be found nestled in their own Creators Collection corner of the store.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first indie-centric Xbox One publishing initiative put forth by Microsoft, but the Creators Program itself stands out by offering developers a more lax submission process while still affording them access to a handful of key Xbox Live features.

As Microsoft detailed earlier this year, the Creators Program lets developers integrate Xbox Live sign-in, presence, and other social features into their Universal Windows Platform games. Following that, devs can submit titles to the Creators Program without needing concept approval from Microsoft ahead of time and then undergo a simplified variant of the typical certification process.

The program itself is still in preview, but developers interested in exploring the early steps of the enrollment process can find more information and an SDK over on the Microsoft’s developer portal
