It's been a good couple of months for Paradox Interactive. After its sci-fi strategy game Stellaris rocketed to over 200,000 copies sold in the space of a day, the company's new World War 2 grand strategy game Hearts of Iron 4 has crossed the 200,000 mark after only 2 weeks.
In a press release, Paradox writes that this makes Hearts of Iron IV "the publisher’s fastest-selling historical strategy game to date," outperforming both Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings II in their opening sales.
Paradox also states that Stellaris has sold over 500,000 copies in its first month, adding to the sci-fi game's stellar opening.
Both games' success contribute to a steady string of hits for the Swedish publisher, whose 2015 game Cities: Skylines sold 2 million units in just a single year.
