Alongside the other announcements from Google I/O, VentureBeat reports on the enhancements the company has launched for its Google Cast SDK -- many of which are specifically aimed at game developers.

The enhanced SDK should help developers take better advantage of the cheap and popular Chromecast streaming device as a TV game platform, when paired with a mobile device -- be it iOS or Android.

Developers can now better utilize mobile devices as controllers -- and have better control over how multiplayer games are played. You can also now show different images on the hand-held device and TV, as well as better take advantage of the horsepower of the mobile device used for streaming during gameplay.

You can explore the new SDK over at Google's developer site.
