Senior Audio Designer, Deep Silver Volition
Location: Champaign, IL
Deep Silver Volition, known for the Saints Row and Red Faction franchises, is seeking an audio designer. Join our team of lovable audio geeks as we create exciting and memorable audio experiences for our players. At Volition, we expect our audio designers to innovate and influence both our production quality and studio-level direction.
Responsibilities
Create amazing experiences for our players through the use of sound, music, and voice.
Collaborate with peers in all disciplines to consistently deliver results within a defined vision.
Identify and drive improvements to workflows, pipelines, and processes.
Apply your expertise to all areas of game development.
Qualifications
Minimum of two AAA titles shipped as an audio designer
Minimum of one AAA title shipped using Wwise
Expert at industry standard DAWs
Proven ability to design and implement innovative audio systems
Strong technical audio theory background
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proven microphone and field recording technique
Expertise in stereo and surround mixing techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to deliver results under tight deadlines
Experience developing for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC
Pluses
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Lua, Python, etc)
Background in studio recording
Sample Work Required
Sample work must include sound effects synced to video
If video includes music, please include a version with only sound effects
FTP space to upload demo materials is available upon request
