Four months after confirming it had raised $5 million in investments, Finnish mobile game studio Seriously has launched its first game and completed a second round of fundraising from extant investors that brings its total to $10 million. A portion of that freshly-raised $5 million is expected to go towards expanding the company, which has grown to a headcount of 13 people after being founded back in August 2013 by Remedy and Rovio expats. They aren't the only folks making moves in the Finnish game industry, either; Helsinki-based Next Games recently acquired long-time collaborator Helsinki GameWorks after securing millions in funding earlier this year. Seriously launched its inaugural free-to-play mobile game Best Fiends (pictured) last month and within two weeks reportedly netted 1.5 million downloads, the lion's share of which -- according to a Re/code report -- came from China, despite Seriously doing zero marketing in the region.
