Newsbrief: Destiny writer Joshua Rubin has left Bungie ahead of the game's release to join Telltale Games, where he'll be serving as a writer on the Bay Area studio's upcoming Game of Thrones game. In an email conversation with Gamasutra, Rubin said he was very happy with the work he has done at Bungie alongside Joseph Staten and the rest of the Destiny creative team, but "in the end, Bungie makes games about shooting aliens in the head. And while there’s a true art to 'writing between the bullets' — as Mr. Staten once said — I couldn’t turn down an offer from Telltale, to create games that are entirely about story." Rubin has previously served as a lead writer at EA Visceral and Capcom. He also worked on the script for Assassin's Creed II, which was nominated for a Video Game Writing Award in 2010.
