Sheffield Hallam University has opened the world's largest PlayStation educational facility, complete with 34 PS4 dev kits, adding to their existing suite of PS3 and PS Vita dev kits. The new Laboratory was officially opened today by the developers of LittleBigPlanet 3, Sumo Digital, who are based in Sheffield. The facility is part of Sony's PlayStationFirst initiative, a development program that aims to give educational institutions the opportunity to work with current generation hardware. It appears to be paying dividends, as Sheffield's programme has already produced one game, Aspect, which they're planning on releasing on the PlayStation Network in the New Year.
