Newsbrief: Develop reports that Kuju Entertainment cofounders Jonathan Newth and Ian Baverstock (pictured) have taken the wraps off Chilled Mouse, a new UK-based digital games publisher with a focus on indie titles. Baverstock and Newth are notable players in the UK games business, having founded Kuju in 1998 and gone on to launch Tenshi Ventures, an entertainment-minded investment firm. Newth also founded Gameroyale, which now oversees the Game Royale and Indie Royale platforms, while Baverstock served a stint as chairman of the UK game industry trade body TIGA from 2005 to 2009. "This is the second great age of indie gaming," stated Baverstock in a press release. "We spent the first one playing games and building a developer; this time we'll be playing games and building a community." Chilled Mouse already has at least one project in the works, a PC game that it expects to start talking about before the end of the year.
