Guildford-based Edge Case Games has completed a round of fundraising with £1.75 million (~$2.7 million USD) in its pocket and a new partnership with Chinese investor Seasun Games to begin publishing games in Asian markets.
What's interesting here is that Edge Case is finishing out a funding round it started talking about over the summer, when it raised roughly $1.3 million to fund further development of its tactical space MOBA Fractured Space, currently being sold on Steam's Early Access service.
Seasun Games joined in on this funding as part of a partnership that will see Edge Case, which was founded as a spinoff of Strike Suit Zero studio Born Ready Games, turning its development experience towards making mobile games and breaking into new markets in Asia.
"A £1m investment from Seasun Games will help drive our business forward," stated Edge Case chief James Brooksby in a press release confirming the deal. "The strategic relationship with Seasun Games, and the opportunity to expand into Asia with their support, is a game changer for us."
