Roughly five months after laying its long-standing "Battle.net" brand to rest, Blizzard is bringing it back.

It's an interesting return to form for the company, which announced last September that it wanted to move away from "Battle.net" because it felt there was some confusion and "inefficiencies" around the varying use of "Battle.net" and "Blizzard" in regards to its suite of online game services.

However, in a blog post today Blizzard stated that "after giving the branding change further consideration and also hearing your feedback, we’re in agreement that the name should stay."

Going forward, the company will tie together its Battle.net brand with its Blizzard-branded online services (like Blizzard Voice and Blizzard Streaming) by squeezing the two brands together to form Blizzard Battle.net.
