A handful of British game studios have passed the tax relief cultural test

Newsbrief: More than 30 British game studios have applied for the new video game tax relief in the UK, while just over a dozen games have received provisional certification to go ahead for the application. The tax breaks were finally approved earlier this year, and allow UK studios to potentially claim up to 25 percent of production costs -- as long as you pass a cultural test. Now the organization that hosts the cultural test says that numerous games have already been approved and can continue on with the application. Approved studios include Chucklefish Games, Wales Interactive, and Pixelbomb Games.
