Newsbrief: Imangi Studios says that combined downloads for endless runner titles Temple Run and Temple Run 2 have now topped 1 billion in total on mobile. The original Temple Run launched in 2011, and was doing well for Imangi as a paid title. The company then took the game free-to-play, and saw revenues quadruple. Clearly it didn't stop there, as the Temple Run franchise is now one of the most downloaded mobile series ever. The company says that over 32 billion games have been played to date. Although there are also Disney versions of the game, including Temple Run: Brave and Temple Run: Oz, this 1 billion total does not include these additional games.
